Smoothie criminal

by Khushboo on August 4, 2011

Before we get this show on the road, Shyamla is my sister 🙂

Shyamla: I’m so full
Me: Man, I’m stuffed
Shyamla: I want something sweet
Me: Let’s go for fro yo
My Mom: You just said you’re full!!

Fact: I have a separate stomach reserved for fro yo…or any frozen dessert for that matter: ice cream, gelato, soft serve, etc.  Because I’m a trooper like that, I can always find ways to eat it…hungry or not ;)! That probably explains why I’m kinda obsessed with what I had for breakfast this morning: Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie.  Trust me when I say that this was not just any smoothie! Check out the thickness and creaminess of it, ice cream for breakfast? Gimme that spoon!

(In the mix: frozen banana, soy milk, yogurt, vanilla essence, chia seeds, peanut butter and wait for it….)

You know when u play the Alphabet Game and you either think of ‘x-ray’ or ‘xylophone’ as your X? Here’s a new ‘X’ to add to your vocabulary: xanthan gum. It’s a natural thickener which works wonders. Anything that makes ice cream for breakfast legit is a miracle-worker in my books.  Cool, delicious and satisfying: sounds like the perfect man start to my day :D.

What’s your kryptonite, i.e. the one food you can rarely say no to??

That smoothie does look so good.

I like the title of the post btw…Michael Jackson is one of my favorite artists 🙂

I’m trying to find some frozen yogurt in India but it’s hard to!
I’m thinking that they are more popular in the north since I found a lot in Dehli..we’ll see!

I love Michael Jackson too- and I have ‘Smooth Criminal’ stuck in my head! If you’re in Mumbai, check out Bandra- full of frozen yogurt joints!

I can rarely say no to ice-cream especially vanilla! 🙂 This smoothie looks delicious-PB+banana is my favourite combo! I also just bought xantham gum a few weeks ago-excited to try it out looking at the volume of your smoothie!

In that case, make sure to add the vanilla essence too! 🙂
