Happy hump day, homies! A while back, I stole borrowed a post idea from my favorite section in Glamour: “Hey It’s Okay…” It was probably one of the easiest posts for me to write, and made me feel somewhat better about the things I may or may not do ;)! Other than open my post with tragic alliteration, here are some other things which I am declaring as A-OK:
Hey It’s Okay…
- To have never watched some of the classics e.g. Titanic, Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, or Pearl Harbor
- To put a reminder alarm in your phone to take your medicines
- To indulge in dessert in the middle of the day ‘just because’
- To use post-it’s to clean up a coffee spill
- To look forward to getting home and being able to change into sweats and take off your bra
- To decide whether you want to leave your home according to the weather
- To use ‘etc’ when you don’t know what else to say
- To describe overnight oats in a jar as “finger-licking good” … and mean it quite literally
- To know that “AG”, “KI”, and “AA” are all considered words on Words With Friends, and that no 2-letter words start with “V” or “C”
- To use hashtags even when you’re not on Twitter #guiltyascharged
- To tear up when your favorite contestant on a reality TV show doesn’t make it to the finale
- To start your “To Do” list with a task you’ve already completed
Finish it: Hey it’s OK to ___________
WHAAA?! No Sound of Music?! You have to watch it, just have to haha
And totally agree with starting a to-do list with something you’ve already accomplished– I think it kickstarts you to success heehee
My hey it’s okay– to eat microwaved leftovers every night because you’re too lazy to heat up the oven and make something new 😉
Oh that’s totally okay…microwaves were made for efficiency :)!
Awww luving this post! Hey it’s okay to…..make homemade mac and cheese just because you don’t feel like eating meat and need a little comfort.
Definitely okay..sometimes only carbs will do!
I’ve never seen Titantic either. Not missing anything, I don’t think.
It’s okay not to read Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, or 50 Shades. Okay, I read the first Hunger Games… lol
Hahah I haven’t read any either except the first Hunger Games (which I’ll admit was amazing)!
Hey it’s ok.. to eat a bowl of cereal for dinner just because you’re too lazy to make a proper meal!
Proper meals are overrated ;)!
HAHAHA I am so glad I’m not the only one who takes off my bra when I get home! 😉
Hey it’s okay to waste your day off from work doing nothing.
Haha sounds like most of my Sundays – just glorious! And I’m glad you share my bra sentiments!
I love it!
It’s okay to not comment on other’s blogs because you are at least a week behind on your reading. But then comment a lot when you’re caught up!
Totally okay…in fact I gave you credit for going back and commenting :)!
Gotta say–I’ve never seen any of those classics either! And I like it that way. And it’s okay to be really excited about getting home…to eat turnip greens. Nothing like your own garden to get you excited about veggies ;D
Hahah oh man after indulging on holidays, I can not WAIT to get back to some greens :)!
Hey its okay…. to tear up during sappy movies and youtube proposals! hehe and on that note, no Titanic?! You must see it! Tell me if you tear up ok 😉
Haha I definitely will- one of my really good friends is a HUGE Titanic fan so I may have to persuade her to re-watch it with me!
hey, it’s okay to break a diet and eat a cupcake every now and then. life is about living each day in moderation. I’m back!!!!!!
Welcome back :)! And that’s more than okay…it should be a requirement!
These are all great, and all ok!
🙂
Love these… the dessert one is so great and true! Oh and I do agree that it’s okay not to have seen those, but I would suggest that you do, because they are each wonderful for various reasons 🙂
Haha apparently I have “missed out on childhood” as I’ve never seen Mary Poppins / Sound of Music…better late than never, eh!
Amen on the bra comment! Haha!
And it’s ok talk to yourself. It doesn’t mean you’re crazy…just unique!
AHAHAHAH funny you say that- I was talking to myself the other day and my mom answered….awkward haahah 🙂
HAHA oh my 🙂 I love the “hey it’s ok’s!!!!!” 😀 Thanks girl. You are always making me smile 😉
They’re such fun posts to write 🙂
I look forward to the moment when the bra comes off for the night = relaxation haha
Haha I know some people who sleep in a bra…lord knows how!
So I’m not a movie buff but “The Sound of Music” is a must see! One of my favorites.
Haha I’m putting on my Summer To Do list for sure 🙂
I just started doing these a few weeks ago, too! And haha TOTALLY stole it from Glamour, I do love Glamour 🙂
xoxo,
LLE
Awesome..will def look out for your ‘Hey It’s Okay’ posts 🙂
Ok so I know a lot of people bash Twilight and Harry Potter and the movies aren’t as good compared to the books…but reading is always sooo much better!! I loved them both, you should totally give it a try! Hell YES to the bra comment haha and omg I always start my to-do lists with things I’ve just done haha false sense of accomplishment…meh…I’ll take it !! haha 🙂
Haha I am guilty of having only seen the Twilight & Harry Potter movies and then bashing both! I definitely agree about books almost always being better than the movies, although in the case of Hunger games I do think the movie lived up!
Hey it’s ok to swear you’ll never eat out again and promptly order in from your fav Indian restaurant!
Hahah no one said you can’t eat IN ;)!
