Last but not least…

Happy Halloween, y‘all!!

Yep, I still can’t pull off “y’all”!

Whether or not you’re dressing up today, I hope your day is filled with plenty of chocolate/sweets.  I read an article a few days ago about handing out healthier alternatives to trick-o-treaters.  Talk about sucking the fun out of a holiday!  I’m all for apples & granola bars but there’s a time & place, people!  It’s safe to say that if anyone comes knocking on my door today, they can expect some Lindt, Patchi, or Celebrations  ;) !

Halloween aside, I thought the last day of October would be the perfect, and somewhat cliché, time to do this “Last Chance Survey” I’ve seen floating around.  Although long gone are the days of AOL and emailing out surveys, I still get a kick out of filling them in:

1. Last food you ate?

Egg “fried” quinoa for lunch: quinoa, veggies, 1 egg/2 whites scrambled in, soy sauce & sesame oil….peace out, Chinese food craving!

 2. Last beverage you drank?

More like the last 5 beverages I’ve drunk: green tea

3. Last workout?

Chest, shoulders, and triceps this morning!  Bring on a rest day tomorrow :)

4. Last thing you pinned?

If ever you needed proof of my corny sense of humor:

5. Last text message you sent?

The last text message I sent is not politically correct so I’ll share the second-last message sent: “Hahahahahahha….don’t make me laugh out loud at work”

6. Last tweet you sent?

7. Last place you visited?

My office…exciting times!

8. Last time you did ab work?

Do the planks which I did yesterday after my run count?

9. Last show you watched?

Downton Abbey!  The 3rd season is SO good!

10. Last thing you baked?

I can’t remember at all, which clearly means it’s been far too long.  Although these don’t involve baking per say, making Heather’s Tiramisu Protein Pancakes is on my “To Make ASAP” list:

11. What is the last thing you Instagrammed?

12. Last item on your to-do list today?

“Go to tailor & get dress altered”

What’s your favorite chocolate/sweet?

Agreed…handing out healthy alternatives is like asking kids to egg your house!

I remember one house used to give out toothbrushes, I always actively avoided that one. i am a candy lover – well chewy candy lover. chocolate is not my thing

Haha I bet that house had a terrible rep!

Okay, I’m seriously coming to your house for trick or treating. Would you consider me too old and not give me candy? ;) Happy Halloween, Khushboo!

I’m honestly not sure what my favorite chocolate or candy is. I’m really tempted to say KitKat because I’ve been seriously loving on them lately, but I’m also a big lover of Fuzzy Peaches and sour watermelons. Definitely not anything fancy, but super tasty all the same :D

Haha never too old for candy…if you come, I’ll even bust out the fancy stuff :) !

Happy Halloween to you too!

I LOVE the last thing you pinned. Goes to show that the littlest things can make me laugh!

And my favorite candy growing up was anything chocolate, but more specifically M&Ms. I was (am) a sucker for them! The adult Parita loves that they even have dark chocolate ones now. :)

Does the adult Parita know they even have Dark M & Ms with almonds? If not, try them ASAP!

Please eat a Reeses cup on my behalf, especially as they aren’t available in Mumbai! The holiday ones are even better than the regular kind because of the generous PB filling ;) !

omg, i was drooling when i saw the Tiramisu Pancakes, where do some people even come up with this stuff? So yummy.
Favorite chocolate – I love gertrude hawk nut clusters, or really anything with nuts. even truffles are yummy. if i had to pick something out a normal grocery store – Almond Joy! :-) Happy Halloween. Sadly the NYC parade this year was cancelled.

Sorry to hear about the NYC parade but I am glad you are safe :) ! I’ve never heard of Gertrude Hawk Nut Clusters but I am sure it’s delicious- nuts & chocolate is a winning combo!

The quinoa fried rice looks soo yum! (and really authentic) ;) And those tiramisu pancakes omg! My all time favourite chocolate has to be good ol’ snickers. It just has everything good in it, or something a bit more elegant like any flavour or type of Lindt! :)

Khushboo November 1, 2012 at 6:08 pm

It’s funny because as much as I love Lindt, I equally love Snickers…cheap & cheerful chocolate :) !

I always forget how much I enjoy Chinese food until I actually eat it…even better when someone else cooks it for you :) !

Oh, you already know my favorite chocolate! Lindt Dark Chocolate Sea Salt!!! ….but besides that, my other two favorites are Ferrero Rocher and Toblerone! :) P.S – those pancakes look deeeeelicious!

Ohh those are amongst my faves too! When I was in Zurich a few years ago, a few of the restaurants handed out free mini Toblerones with the bill….they were very much appreciated!
