Looking back at photos, I don’t remember ever being as big as I had gotten. I’m sure that had to do with a mental block or just denial. I’m so glad that I finally bit the bullet and decided to lose weight. I started out with the Kellogg’s Diet and lasted all of 2 days. Despite being a huge cereal lover, the thought of eating cereal for breakfast and lunch got boring by day 2. That being said, the portions recommended were pathetic. I stuck with Atkins for 2 weeks but as they say, “the carbs found me”.
I am the ultimate advocate of Weight Watchers. While I don’t think I could ever go back to counting points (other than subconsciously), I think it is a fantastic diet. No food is prohibited and it teaches you the importance of balance (i.e. if I want to have a dessert, I have to compensate by having a lighter dinner) and portion size. Many don’t realize the importance of portion sizes. While fruit is healthy, they still contain natural sugars and hence calories. These calories all add up and if eaten in excess will contribute to weight gain (and probably constipation).
That being said, I also think Slimming World is a great diet. Both diets are great theoretically, and as long as the individual following it is in the right mind frame, will produce successful results. As for the others, I think they are good if you need to lose weight ASAP for a special occasion…or if you are willing and able to stick with it in the long-term
Hi Khush,no doubt you have been a great achiever and you are well qualified to help all of us out there. Would be nice to have a one week plan to follow with exact allowed quantities. Here’s to your success xx Anita didi
Wait… fruit makes you constipated? x
