2018 Blog Changes

Hey guys! Longest time ever- firstly happy happy 2018!  Hope everyone’s year is off to the healthiest and happiest start…and may each day ahead only be filled with rainbows and unicorns 🙂 !

Firstly I want to apologise to all my subscribers for receiving multiple emails earlier this week which was quite literally filled with gibberish.  I am in the process of revamping my website and there was a slight glitch.  After a mini panic (more because I know how irritating these emails can be to receive) and a call with my web developer, all is well again.

As I am sure you can tell, I have slightly lost my blogging mojo.  While I still love writing and connecting with so many like-minded people, I’l be honest.  After almost 8 years (CRAZY I KNOW), there’s only so much more that I can talk about food & fitness. I’m still working out regularly.  My diet is 80% filled with plants.  Dark chocolate still makes me extremely happy.  You can still always find almond milk & oats in my kitchen…and nut butter duh! However these no longer light my fire.  They are just part of my lifestyle rather than something I actively work towards. What’s really been sparking my interest is an area of wellness that often gets overlooked: mental health

Change your thoughts

While there are so many avenues that fall under this category, I am really interested in how our mindset, attitude and thoughts overall affect our life..including our body and health.  Studies even show that the way we feel when eating food can affect digestion.  Choosing to foster a positive mindset can help open invisible doors beyond our imagination.  Letting go of fear is all it takes to achieve those massive goals which seem out of reach.

Anyway hopefully I’m not waffling but my main point is: if this is something which you guys would be itnterested in reading about, I would love to post more on the topic.   Occasionally I will still put up the food, fitness & recipe posts but I definitely want to intertwine posts on the power of our mindset into this space.  I want my blog to always be a reflection of where I am , and this is currently where I am in my journey towards a better version of myself.

How has your 2018 been?

What’s been your highlight this year so far?

  1. I’m really looking forward to reading more about your perspective on mental health and well being. It’s a topic that’s been on my mind recently as well, especially in the context of motherhood. Here’s to a great 2018!
