Stepping back

Hey guys!  Hope your week is going well!  How are we already in middle of November- wasn’t it Halloween just yesterday??  Time flying = story of my life ;).

Cutest coaster or what!
Cutest coaster or what!

In the 3+ years which I’ve been blogging, one thing I vowed to not do was to turn this hobby into an obligation or source of stress i.e. posting just for the sake of consistency.  My blog is my little corner of the Internet and it continues to be a creative outlet which I look forward to updating.  Whether you are a blogger or reader, I’m sure you’ll agree that posts are pointless when they come across as both forced & inauthentic.

With 2 destination weddings coming up, one being my cousin’s in Kerala and the other is of a very close friend’s in Abu Dhabi, the next few weeks are going to be pretty cray cray.  For the sake of my sanity, I’m taking a temporary blogging break.  As much as I enjoy blogging, it does require a good chunk of time in terms of writing each post, editing photos, commenting and so forth.  I have no doubt that extra slot of time will be just what I need to stay on top of work in the midst of everything…at least that’s the plan.

Now THIS is a salad...
Now THIS is a salad…

I plan to return to regular posting by the middle of December…and you better believe that I’ll be back recharged & with plenty of fresh content.  Because disconnecting from social media totally is just crazy talk, I’ll still be on Instagram – @khushboothadani.

Take care, guys :)!

  1. Give me two seconds to dry my eyes.

Ok. As much as it’ll be sad not to have a blogger who’s probably the closest in terms of location and time, you said it yourself- it is MORE than evident when posts come out forced or obligated- and eventually it will only make you lose interest. I can’t wait for the Special K to return in December! 😉

  2. Oh noooo! I am going to miss you Khushboo – ok, now I am talking as if you would leave forever 🙂
I totally get that a break is needed sometimes, especially in crazy times!
Enjoy the weddings and I look forward to your return – meanwhile I will just keep stalking you on IG!

Good to take a break sometimes. Happy break and enjoy your break and marriages too… I will know when u blog again as subscribed to your blog by mail.

  4. I will miss you so – but you are so right (again) taking a break when things get “cray cray” is way better than writing for the sake of writing!
I cannot wait to read your thoughts on my old stomping grounds-Abu Dhabi, and about your adventures in Kerala! Safe travels and till December – take care

  5. We’ll miss ya! But I totally get it! I started blogging to blog about my life but the minute it starts to become my life is when I need to cut down. I’m feeling a little blogging break too. But don’t me too much of a stranger k?

  6. Well, I’m super grateful to hear you are coming back after your brief time off! I think it’s great you are taking some time off because we all definitely need a break from the blog world! I totally believe that.
I will miss you A TON though! Enjoy your time off 🙂

  7. Not going to pretend I wasn’t going to miss you and your posts but I understand your reasoning – as long as you don’t leave the blog world forever! It’s true that a step back can help you recharge those creative “batteries” and turn into inspired posts one you return. Forcing yourself would really take the enjoyment out of what you chose as a very special hobby and who’d want that?
Have fun during your break and especially at the weddings! I’m a little jealous you don’t get to attend just one but actually two!

  8. Sometimes you do need to take a break and I actually might be joining you on this soon. Depends on how things go in the very near future, but when my funny departs, I think it’s a sign to take a step back. You, on the other hand, are going on a break for entirely different and fabulous reasons. Enjoy the weddings and the time off. I’ll see you on the Gram.

  9. This is a really good idea! I am inspired to take a break too…although I am only posting once a week. Which I should be able to manage.

See you in December. See you on Instagram in the meantime!

  10. Obviously I am going to miss you, but you’re doing what is best for you and not adding more stress into your life! You know I go on breaks on a regular basis at this point (<– that sentence doesn't make much sense.. but you get it 😉 ) and that it works for me at this time
Enjoy everything going on for you in the next few weeks!

  11. Awww, well I will definitely be missing you girlie, but I hope you have a great time on your blogging break and enjoy your travels! I swear I got the short end of the stick when it comes to my friends and their weddings…out of my two closest friends, one eloped and the other went to the courthouse! Ugh! Lol

  12. I’m with you! I’m hardly ever consistent with my posting – there’ll be times when i’m posting every other day, and times when i haven’t posted for 3 weeks! I hope you’ve enjoyed your time off, we can’t wait to have you back! 🙂 Happy New Year!
