Wednesday Wafflin’

Nutella crepes on Monday, waffles today…what am I doing to you!  Fortunately this post has little to do with these bad boys:

As much I am loving overnight oats for breakfast, the above picture reminds me that I need to bring back the waffles ASAP!  Anyway today I am rollin’ with the other definition of the term waffle: “To speak, write, or act equivocally “.  Because there is no possible way to tie together the points below, I am just going to say type it as it comes to me:

  • Every time I type my name in Word or Gmail, it keeps suggesting I change it to “Cashbook“….hmmm
  • My mom threw a little part-ay at home last week and decorated the living room with flowers.  It lightened up the room so much that I think we need to organise a standing order at the florist.

  • I saw the Bollywood film English Vinglish last week and already want to see it again.  Whether or not you understand Hindi, please go see it….there’s always subtitles!
Just thinking of it makes me laugh
  • Starbucks is FINALLY opening in India on Friday, baby!  It might be hot as hell right now, but part of me hopes that they bring the red cups with them.
  • Speaking of weather, I just realised that I haven’t experienced real winter or worn a jacket since early 2010.
  • I seem to be constantly craving chocolate lately, especially after dinner….and this bowl at home does me no favors

  • Some of the search terms which bring people to my blog are so weird, yet so hilarious. For laughs: “maybe don’t wear a bra next time” and “before yolo did you guys think you could live twice.”

Moving along…

  • Following last week’s “Me, Me Me” post, here’s one more tidbit:  I currently work in denim and can discuss the likes of J Brand, DL1961, True Religion, AG (to name a few) in my sleep, yet actually only owned my first pair of jeans when I was 16.
  • I am in a holiday state of mind…badly!  I either need to snap out of it or book a trip ASAP- I prefer the sound of the latter 😉
  • I found this pic of my sister, BIL and me from their wedding.  I might be third wheelin’ but I love it

Have a great Wednesday!

Tell me something…anything!  Bonus points for those which are totally random 🙂

  1. I’ll have to check out English Vinglish – leave it to Bollywood to come up with a title like that. Speaking of Bollywood, the other day Vishnu asked me where the B comes from. It took me a few minutes of hard thinking and then I yelled to him in the other room – BOMBAY! DUH! At least that’s what I think… Have a great day, K!!!

    1. Haha! Terrible name, but amazing movie…I know you’d love it! I actually just Googled about the B in Bollywood because like you, just assumed that it stood for Bombay…turns out we are right :)!

  2. As much as I hate the word “nom” I have to admit that the Cookie Monster clip made me laugh. Ahh good old childhood memories 😀 And I feel like you’re subconsciously trying to tell me that I need to switch up my breakfasts… I fall into food -grooves- mostly because I get too lazy to bother trying to come up with new things to eat, but maybe it’s time to switch our my cereal bowls for something else. But hey! I change up the fruit I add, so that kind of counts, right? 😀

Something random, something random, something… oh! I’m going to the eye doctor next week and I’m kind of dreading it because most of the time when he asks me “better now, or better now?” I honestly can’t tell the difference… and sometimes I think there -is- no difference, and that he’s just testing me to see if I’m full of it…

    1. Haha the word nom cringes me out too…whenever I use it as a hashtag, it’s more for comic value! I have been putting off my optician appointment for that very reason…all those different lenses make little or NO difference but yet I feel like I should say “It’s better” to shut her up haha!

  3. Ooo, you totally need to book a trip–and then post all about it so I can travel through you! And I’m eating cabbage. While you post about waffles. It’s a cruel, cruel world. 😉 And something random? That cabbage I’m eating? I’m eating it with my fingers. I still strongly believe salad should be/is finger food. I mean, really, there’s no easy way to get it on a fork.

  4. Haha the post I wrote today was whoa random too!! YAY for starbs coming to your area. SOO exciting!! I laughed so hard at that yolo search term.HAHA. You actually look like you and your BIL are closer than your BIL and sister. Baha..sadly she looks like the 3rd wheeel, BUTTTT it’s a great photo of you all!

      1. Pleaaseee please tell your sister I meant in no way for this to be a rude comment!! I simply meant she looks like the 3rd wheel because she is further away from you two. I was not trying to be mean! I think she looks simply gorgeous and only the angle of the way the bodies are places makes he look a bit spaced!! I’m sorry for the comment causing offense!

        1. Haha don’t worry about it- I know what you meant :)! That’s the only problem with the internet- what you write may not come across the way you intended it!

  5. Haha love this post!! I hated jeans as a kid- now you can’t find me not wearing them – except maybe to bed. That is an awesome pic of you three! I think you should book a holiday! 🙂

  6. There’s so much to love in this post!! I just shared the Cookie Monster video with three of my housemates. We were in unanimous agreement that Cookie Monster is by far the BEST Sesame Street character EVER. When I was little, Cookie Monster ate cookies in excess, but now he apparently practices “cookie moderation.” Haha, PBS is trying to keep things politically correct, I guess! No obese Cookie Monsters allowed! :-p

I am completely jealous that you haven’t worn a coat since 2010!! If you’re missing bundling up, might I suggest you come visit me in DC this winter? You wouldn’t even have to buy a coat, because I have several you can borrow! When they’re all you live in for half the year, you need to own at least three. 😉

My chocolate cravings are really strong right now, too. I’m almost through an entire stash of German chocolate that was brought to me several weeks ago! That’s a LOT of chocolate. I think I need chocolate detox…But not until I’m finished. 😉

You look gorgeous is the photo taken at your sister’s wedding! You’re absolutely stunning, Khushboo! <3 xoxo

    1. Ah you always leave the nicest comments, Sara! It’s kinda sad that the Cookie monster has to control his urges…way to kill his identity! I’ve actually never been to DC but I might have to take up your offer! Enjoy your German chocolate- I just broke into some the British kind (Malteasers)….and thank you for such a sweet compliment 🙂

    1. Ohh the grass really is greener on the other side! I would love to bundle up in a coat, clutching a Starbucks chai tea latte :)!

  7. I haven’t had waffles in so long! Yum! I remember that picture 😉 You look so gorgeous! And I had no idea that were no Starbucks in India! Woohoo! Congrats ;). Now now, everything in moderation hehe.

  8. I’ve been thinking of watching English Vinglish – the trailer looks promising!

And are you staying in India at the moment? I took a trip to Mumbai and Rajasthan last year! Back then I wasn’t too interested, but now I wonder how I’m gonna get greek yogurt and my other staples there if I were to visit my relatives this time 😉 Hahaha, how do you manage!

    1. Please go see it- I promise it’ll be worth your while! I live in Mumbai and to be honest, the amount that is available here is quite impressive! Although I am yet to see Greek yogurt sold here, one of the perks is having household staff (i.e. a cook) who can make it homemade daily i.e strain regular yogurt.

  9. hey K. wow, starbucks is opening up in India. Please do a post on it. THeir menu the prices and all. Is their cappu like the US/UK ones, or do they taste more like Cafe Coffee Day? SO many questions. 🙂

Gorgeous pic of you, your sis, and BIL…that picture made me miss my BIL. 🙂

    1. Good idea about a Starbucks post…clearly I will have to make many trips there for “research”! I am excited to try it out, and from what I’ve heard there are quite a few Indian options on the menu! Here’s hoping that includes their chai tea lattes!
