I’ve mentioned it before but I absolutely hate packing. It’s not because my folding skills could use some work. Nor is it because I’m scared of forgetting something…heck you might as well me the queen of packing lists. It comes down to the fact that I hate making choices between outfits:
- This shirt or that one?
- One pair of heels or 3?
- Pack less and shop more?
Okay fine, the last one is a given but you catch my drift! And despite my dislike towards choices, I am about to voluntarily make 20 more choices. Once I saw this fitness survey floating around, I knew it wouldn’t be long till I got on board with it. Fortunately these aren’t the kind of choices I am going to regret next week, or any time after that. Here goes:
1. Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing temps and snow?
I will always choose hot temperatures over cold EXCEPT for when I’m exercising. Just the thought of running in humidity is unpleasant enough!
2. Have washboard abs or flat abs?
As long as my abs are looking good, I am ABS-olutely not fussed. On the opposite sex, I’d like washboard abs…please & thank you!
3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
Dr. Oz purely because of his association with Oprah
4. Cardio or strength?
Lately I have been looking forward to my strength workouts more. That being said, I am so excited about hitting up my all-time favorite running spot over the next few weeks:
5. Cravings: Protein or carbs? Most of my cravings are for dessert a.k.a sugar a.k.a carbs
6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Team Jillian all the way! I would kill to train with her, although I’m pretty sure she’d kill me in the process 😀 !
7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Can’t choose, won’t choose!
8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Lower body…I have a love/hate relationship with the post-workout soreness.
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
I will always opt for real food when possible, but I do love me some Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein Powder.
10. Lunges or squats?
Easy- squats! Lunges are a pain in the ass….yet they do give me a nice one ;)!
11. Sweet or salty?
Sweet – I have no problem sitting in front of a plate of fries without being tempted, but I definitely can’t say the same about desserts.
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
Comfy! I am not even going to beat around the bush: I don’t look cute when I work out…at all!
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
I enjoy both but I find that my form skimps towards the end of the track at Body Pump.
14. Yoga or Pilates?
Yoga- is there anything better than that first downward dog?
15. Nike or Adidas?
As all my workout shorts/capris are Nike, I think that speaks for itself!
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
Outdoors although I’m not a treadmill hater by any means: without it, I’m not sure I’d be running at all!
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
Never been to Traders Joe’s so Whole Foods by default.
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
More than the actual sporting bit of the Olympics, my favorite parts are the Opening & Medal ceremonies. Either way, both Summer & Winter Olympics both show the word at its athletic best…which is special enough!
19. Exercises classes or Exercise videos?
Classes although I rarely do either. If you’re looking for a great exercise
video DVD, I can’t recommend the Billy Blanks Kickboxing DVDs enough!
20. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Roasted – if you don’t enjoy veggies, my only advice is to buy an oven!
