Hey, It’s Okay… (June Edition)

Happy hump day, homies!  A while back, I stole borrowed a post idea from my favorite section in Glamour: “Hey It’s Okay…”  It was probably one of the easiest posts for me to write, and made me feel somewhat better about the things I may or may not do ;)!  Other than open my post with tragic alliteration, here are some other things which I am declaring as A-OK:

Hey It’s Okay…

  • To have never watched some of the classics e.g. Titanic, Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, or Pearl Harbor
  • To put a reminder alarm in your phone to take your medicines
  • To indulge in dessert in the middle of the day ‘just because’
Fig & Almond Tart with Cinnamon Ice Cream at The Table
  • To use post-it’s to clean up a coffee spill
  • To look forward to getting home and being able to change into sweats and take off your bra
  • To decide whether you want to leave your home according to the weather
  • To watch the footie, yet have no idea what the ‘offside’ rule means
  • To use ‘etc’ when you don’t know what else to say

  • To know that “AG”, “KI”, and “AA” are all considered words on Words With Friends, and that no 2-letter words start with “V” or “C”
  • To use hashtags even when you’re not on Twitter #guiltyascharged
  • To tear up when your favorite contestant on a reality TV show doesn’t make it to the finale
Cassidy should have won Junior MasterChef Australia
  • To start your “To Do” list with a task you’ve already completed

Finish it: Hey it’s OK to ___________

  1. WHAAA?! No Sound of Music?! You have to watch it, just have to haha
And totally agree with starting a to-do list with something you’ve already accomplished– I think it kickstarts you to success heehee
My hey it’s okay– to eat microwaved leftovers every night because you’re too lazy to heat up the oven and make something new 😉

  2. I’ve never seen Titantic either. Not missing anything, I don’t think.

It’s okay not to read Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, or 50 Shades. Okay, I read the first Hunger Games… lol

HAHAHA I am so glad I’m not the only one who takes off my bra when I get home! 😉

Hey it’s okay to waste your day off from work doing nothing.

  4. I love it!
It’s okay to not comment on other’s blogs because you are at least a week behind on your reading. But then comment a lot when you’re caught up!

  5. Gotta say–I’ve never seen any of those classics either! And I like it that way. And it’s okay to be really excited about getting home…to eat turnip greens. Nothing like your own garden to get you excited about veggies ;D

  6. Ok so I know a lot of people bash Twilight and Harry Potter and the movies aren’t as good compared to the books…but reading is always sooo much better!! I loved them both, you should totally give it a try! Hell YES to the bra comment haha and omg I always start my to-do lists with things I’ve just done haha false sense of accomplishment…meh…I’ll take it !! haha 🙂

    1. Haha I am guilty of having only seen the Twilight & Harry Potter movies and then bashing both! I definitely agree about books almost always being better than the movies, although in the case of Hunger games I do think the movie lived up!

  7. Hey it’s ok to swear you’ll never eat out again and promptly order in from your fav Indian restaurant!
